Terms of Service
The rules for using IN TRANSIT, including what an estimate is, how credits work and what we are responsible for.
Effective Sep 1, 2026 · Version 2026-09-01 · Last updated Sep 15, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using IN TRANSIT, including the web app, the API and the agent connector (MCP), you agree to these terms. If you use IN TRANSIT for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Planning estimates only
IN TRANSIT produces planning estimates. Costs, transit times, delivery windows and booking recommendations are ranges built from public reference data, market data where available and published assumption sets.
- An estimate is not a carrier quote, a rate offer, a booking or a confirmed sailing.
- We do not guarantee rates, schedules, equipment or vessel capacity.
- Estimates exclude duties and tariffs and are not customs, tax or legal advice.
- You remain responsible for commercial decisions and for confirming details with carriers, forwarders and brokers.
3. Acceptable use
- No scraping, bulk harvesting or reverse engineering of the service or its data.
- No automated account creation and no sharing of accounts or credentials.
- No reselling or redistributing access, estimates or API output as a competing service.
- API and MCP use must stay within published rate limits and credit rules.
- No attempts to bypass security, credits, rate limits or access controls.
4. Credits
- Each account receives free daily credits. They reset at 00:00 UTC, do not roll over and have no cash value.
- Credit costs per action are shown in the app and may change with notice in the app.
- Failed estimates are refunded automatically.
- Bonus credits granted by us have no cash value and may be withdrawn if misused.
- Purchased credits, when available, will be covered by additional terms shown at purchase.
5. Accounts, suspension and deletion
We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk. You can delete your account at any time from the account page; deletion is permanent.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the shipment details and scenarios you enter. You grant us the rights needed to store and process them to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, demurrage, detention or missed delivery dates arising from reliance on estimates. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes to these terms
When these terms change we publish a new version with a new effective date. You will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use the app.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction named in the final reviewed version of this document.
